A new business, Laundry on Arnett is set to provide customers with self and full-washing and folding services.
“Also realizing, many people might not have the time or the ability to do their own laundry, so we offer washing services that are reasonably affordable to our customers,” said David Culeton, owner of Laundry on Arnett.

He bought the property in 2014 and gutted the entire building, before deciding to change its use to occupy the building as a laundromat for his tenants. The laundromat opened its doors in May of 2016. The apartments above the laundromat, where his tenants stay was completed in April of 2017.

“I saw a great opportunity to invest in the 19th Ward community to help and join the on-going revitalization efforts taking place in the southwest area,” Culeton said. “I live on Warwick Avenue, so I want to do, whatever I can to bring up this community. However, I don’t just want to restore buildings, but also help the youth population that lives in this community.”

“Laundry on Arnett was founded based on the idea of not just making a living, but also benefiting their employees and the community, the laundromat serves,” Culeton said.

Laundry on Arnett, at 362 Arnett Boulevard, opens Monday thru Sunday, from 7am to 9pm.
