A new business, Laundry on Arnett is set to provide customers with self and full-washing and folding services.
“Also realizing, many people might not have the time or the ability to do their own laundry, so we offer washing services that are reasonably affordable to our customers,” says David Culeton, owner of Laundry on Arnett.
He bought the property in 2014 and gutted the entire building, before deciding to change its use to occupy the building as a laundromat for his tenants.
The laundromat opened its doors in May of 2016. The reserved apartments for tenants directly above the laundromat was completed in April of 2017.
“I saw a great opportunity to invest in the 19th Ward Community that would help by becoming an functioning entity of the on-going revitalization efforts taking place in the southwest area,” Culeton says. “I live on Warwick Avenue, so I want to do whatever I can and continue to invest in this community. However, I don’t just want to restore buildings, but also help the youth population that lives in this community.”
Laundry on Arnett was found based on the idea of not just making a living, but also benefiting their employees and the community the laundromat serves,” Culeton says.
Laundry on Arnett, at 362 Arnett Boulevard opens Monday thru Sunday from 7am to 9pm.
