The City of Rochester has received $5 million from Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Restore NY Initiative to rehabilitate eight Downtown buildings, Mayor Lovely A. Warren announced today.
“Our city is growing and thriving like never before, accelerated by the investment from Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York State,” Mayor Warren said. “The $5 million awarded through the Restore NY Initiative will help us create more jobs, safer and more vibrant neighborhoods and better educational opportunities, while preserving Rochester’s historic buildings. Governor Cuomo knows that what is best for Rochester is best for New York State, and I would like to thank him for believing in our city.”
The buildings to be restored are as follows:
• 176-182 East Main Street
• 186, 190-194 East Main Street
• 220-222, 224-226 East Main Street
• 250 East Main Street (The Sibley Building)
• 35 State Street
• 79 State Street
